The Second Chance Pet Adoptions Racing for Rescues event is back! Join us Sunday, May 5 at Sugg Farm at Bass Lake Park in Holly Springs for a 5K race and fun walk. The event features a 5K without dogs, a 5K with dogs, and a leisurely dog-inclusive walk. Enjoy the raffle (need not be present or even registered to win), costume competition, vendor village (with complimentary snacks/beverages) and meet some of our adoptable dogs. It’s a fun way to help save a life, and the event t-shirt will always remind you of this fundraiser!

Join Artspace for Painting The Legacy: A Conversation & Celebration honoring black excellence in North Carolina and centering their HBCU Artist in Residence program with art and music experiences. Painting The Legacy will begin with a conversation facilitated by Mike Williams of The Black on Black Project followed by a celebration with Professor X on the 1s and 2s. Guests are encouraged to rep their favorite HBCU, Greek or Social Organization. Use #PaintingTheLegacy and @artspacenc. The event is free but donations are encouraged. A portion of the proceeds will benefit Artspace’s HBCU Artist in Residence program.
